I have changed.

Sorry, I haven't been on my blog in a while. I've been busy--yeah, busy. With a site called Tumblr. I've discovered it is much better than this terrible blogging website. On Tumblr--it's just amazing. So, that means I'm probably not going to be on here much. I noticed I have two new followers (thank you by the way). But, yeah, if you have a Tumblr-follow me-http://travelingwiththeargonauts.tumblr.com/

Outer Space

Through
Galileo Galilei's telescope

Above the little blue planet
we know as "Earth"

Intertwined
in the constellations
Leo, Scorpio,
Taurus, and Gemini

Lies a undiscovered
mysterious world

Called Space

Where rocket ships
soar through
the asteroid belt

Aliens live on
Venus

Martians, on Mars

Planets
far and wide
revolve around
the fiery golden sun

Astronauts
walk on different moons

And comets
rain down on different
planets

Below
it all

Lies
Atlas, the man
struggling to hold up
the starry, mysterious
sky.

Known as
Outer Space

Sorry

I just wanted to say, sorry. For, not having a new poem up yet. I've been er, busy. I'm going on a cruise on July 4Th. And, I'm going to see a Lady GaGa concert July 20Th! I can't wait! Anyway, I'm writing a poem now. I have a lot of crazy new ideas in my head. And, I'm writing them down now. So, I'll finish writing and post it later.

Love

Love is fun
Love is pure
But overall love
hurts

But, what is love
Is love the happy
feeling you feel
when you're with
the one you like?

Why does one love though
Why do we feel love

Why did
Cupid strike us
with his bow and arrow
full of this "love"

Is love a gift
sent from
Aphrodite

Or is it
a curse from
Hades

For Milena
man has
searched for
why love is

But will they
ever learn
love is a disease
of the mind

Well...

I know I haven't posted a new poem in forever and, I'm sorry. I recently got a Tumblr, and I've been busy with that. Now offense blogger, but, Tumblr is way better than Blogger. Anyway, give me a few days or a week and I'll have some new poems. I have one I wrote a very long time ago about Caves. I wrote it in about 10 minutes, and it sucks. So, I'll revise and edit it, then post it. After that I'll post some new poems.

The House By The 7 Seas

Beyond the mountains, rivers,
forests, and coasts

Lies a house
by the 7 seas

But this house
is not like
any other

This house
is made of glistening sea glass

Sand falls into the arms
of the 7 oceans
as the tide comes in

Beyond the shore
lies this mythical house

Legend has it
that the house is
full of 1,000 treasures
and the fountain of immortality

From Marco Polo
to Sir Walter Raleigh
have searched and searched the high seas
in search of this house
by the 7 seas

Myth after myth
says no such house stands

Ignoring
the countless myths

Explorers
search far and wide
for the sea glass house

Full
of 1,000 treasures

R.I.P.- Rue McClanahan

So, earlier today. In the morning a iconic actress passed away. Rue was born on February 21, 1934. She is well known for her part as Blanche Devereaux in the popular show, "The Golden Girls". But, what some people might not know about her is that she was a Broadway star during the 50s. Or that she even was in the show "Mama's Family" for two years playing "Aunt Fran". Until the show got cancelled by NBC. But, two years after "The Golden Girls" ended (in 1997), she was diagnosed with cancer. She went through five months of chemotherapy. Not only that, in early 2010, she suffered a minor stroke while recovering from a heart bypass surgery. A few months after her minor stroke, in May (2010), she passed away after having a stroke. Now that she has passed, Betty White, is the only remaining original "Golden Girl". From the show "The Golden Girls". She will always be remembered though. So, rest in peace Rue.

Winter

Cold, wet, and icy
describes winter

Jack Frost gently blankets
hills, valleys
rivers and streams
with ice and snow

Mountains
far and wide
are capped
with glistening snow

Bears scamper
to caves
to fall into a deep slumber

Icicles hang from
trees, houses, and buildings
like bats stringing a shadowy cave ceiling

Jack Frost will rule
this frozen tundra

Until spring
resurrects Mother Nature
and brings this frozen land
back to life

Heaven

Far above the planets
the stars, and galaxies
there is a place

A place
like no other

Angels with white robes
white as snow
and golden armor
guard the the majestic gate to Heaven

Fountains
made of marble
lies in the center square

Beyond the
stone fountains

Lies our church
so beautiful a mere mortal has never seen such

Inside is thrones
and one of the thrones
is the most important

Made of emerald
a rainbow shimmers above the throne

God sits on his throne of beauty
forever we will honor him
forever we will worship him

Hell

Fiery and dark

Light is unable to
escape the pit
of utter darkness

Sweat and blood
drip off the dammned
as they get tortured

The tortured souls
cry out for water and clothing
to shield them from the apocalyptic heat

Hades sits on his throne
ruling and torturing
but he knows his time is coming
one day the apocalyptic sun will rise and shine light on
his fatal fall

It's summer break

Today was my last day of school. Until August anyway. To me this is unbelievable. I mean, it seems like just yesterday I was learning the alphabet, or having nap time. And now I'm a freshman. What happened to the days when Barney was simply amazing and everyone thought 20 years of age, sounded old? Well, I guess that is just a old chapter in my life. Besides the trip down memory lane, I just have 63 days until I go to The Monster Ball. If you don't know what the Monster Ball is, then it's Lady GaGa's tour. Also, I've been working on other poems I'll post, er, later. You'll see, they'll be good.

School's out?

Well, this school is year is coming to a close. And, summer is coming. I'm so glad summer is almost here. Because that means, no school. It also means, cruise on July 4th. Right after the cruise, on July 20th, I'm going to a concert. A very important concert. The concert I'm going to is Lady GaGa's! Gah, I love her so much, I'm so excited. Anyway, tomorrow is the last day of school and then summer is here.

The Modern Age

People and the Earth
used to live together
as one

The great Heavens
were always remembered

People lived, laughed
and loved together

This new age
has steadily but slowly
destroyed humanity

This once
great Earth is being destroyed

Christianity, the once great religion
is slowly being forgotten

Brother fights with brother

Music has no more meaning
sex, drugs, lies, gangs, killing
describes our popular music in this modern age

Kingdom upon great
Kingdom has fallen
as far as the east
is from the west

Morals have dropped
like the weather in Antartica

Murders
are common

Plagues, sadness, and death
sweep nation upon nation

No more fiery sun rises
only the apocalyptic sun

Fame

Money, clothes, cars
is how you can describe fame

Celebrities walk down
the red carpets
to show off their new movie premieres

Flash, snap, pop
is the sound coming from
the paparazzi cameras
as they take pictures

But fame is not
all it's cracked up to be

Fame has a dark side
a fatal side

Greed, money, sex, drugs
is behind the smiles of HollyWood stars

Loneliness is always
in the back
of their mind

Behind the
HollyWood sign is
insanity and murder

Obsession is in
the stalkers mind
as they follow
the celebrities down the
path of fame

The path of
eternal darkness

Trees

Tall, short,
wide and thin

Protects us from
the fiery
apocalyptic sun

They provide shade
to the weary

Homes to
the homeless

Their branches and leaves
sway oh so
carelessly in the wind
like a kite floating
in the breeze

Forever trees will stand
forever they will stay

Forest Fire

The fire spreads and
cracks through the forest

Gold and red is the color
of the flames

The black smoke rises up
turning the Heavens
into Hell

Animals of the forest are deprived
of their homes and scamper away

Trees crack and tremble
as if the Apocalypse
has come

The forest, once a vast
beautiful sight, now
a black desolate
realm of darkness

A realm of Hades

A Beach

Relaxing, peaceful
is how you describe the scene

The ocean waves gently splash
along the sandy shore

The salty sea breeze brings back memories
to fisherman from their adventures
at sea

The fiery sun rises and sets
along the golden horizon

Majestic castles stand
made of golden brown sand

That's where I want to be
in a castle made of golden brown sand

Clash of the Titans

So, the other day I finally saw the "#1 Movie in America!", Clash of the Titans. At first I thought it might be good. But, the Greek mythology in it was so terribly wrong! First of all, the title isn't the greatest. Only because, Perseus in the movie is a demi-god. Not a Titan. At first I thought the movie was going to be about the titan, Cronus (Kronos). Because that sounds like a great movie for that. For example, Cronus was Titan, he had his most famous children, Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon. And he eventually ate Poseidon and Hades. And then Zeus came along and gave his father, poison of some sort? That made him "throw up" his kids. And they eventually rebelled against his father. Now that would be a good "Clash of the Titans" movie. But it was about a demi-god. Confusing, I know. Secondly, at one part of the movie it shows a woman talking about Medusa and her story, and she gets it wrong! She said something like, "Poseidon beat her in Athena's temple and she prayed to Athena but, Athena showed no mercy and turned her into a gorgon." Which was wrong! Medusa became a gorgon when she and her boyfriend, Poseidon walked into Athena's Temple. Athena saw this and became angry. So, she turned Medusa into a gorgon. Also, in the movie it says Perseus rebelled against his father, Zeus. And, he never did. I'm pretty sure. Overall, the movie was okay, if you are a die-hard action fan. I wouldn't recommend it thought. Not at all...

Fresh, new start.

So, this is my new blog. And I have to say, I love it. Now I had a old blog. It was called Zombie Apocalypse. I loved that blog. It was awesome. It was all about Zombies. And I was even on it everyday, with a new blog etc. Within a few months of writing the blog and all, it got boring. So, I came up with an idea. Create a new blog, and have a new, fresh start. This blog is about? Actually I don't know yet. Unlike my old blog was just about Zombies. So, I hope this one will be better than the last. Besides, it's good to have a fresh start on things, right?
